Aaron Smith placed on IR, career probably over!

Aaron Smith was placed on IR most likely ending his 12 year, illustrious career. He was a true Steeler and a great gentleman of the game. He never sought publicity and quietly anchored down the Steelers defensive line! One of the best 3-4 Defensive ends of all time, he will be sorely missed both on and off the field.

There is a saying in the NFL; “next man up”! It is hard to say that about a guy like Aaron Smith so easily. He just exemplifies what people and players should be. The Steelers are in great hands with Ziggy Hood and “Steelhead” Heyward, but it is hard not to feel a loss on this one!
