Today marks the 25th Anniversary of the death of the “The Chief” Art Rooney. Mr. Rooney was not only the founder of the Steelers he was an accomplished Boxer, a great horse player, a true American sportsman, a devout Catholic, a Pittsburgh loyalist and one of the all around great guys!

Dan’s right, Lynn was one of the bright spots on the 50’s teams. He still rates 2nd only to Gale with a 29.57 kick rertun ave. Gale’s is 30.56. And Lynn would still rank 6th on Steeler team in all purpose yards. Not bad for a player who only played 72 games for the Steelers. His 6978 yds, which I believe would be a Steeler record of 96.91 yds a game. So figure all the players that rank higher than Lynn in the Steelers record books, and that figure would be better than any of the other guys. RIP Mr. Chandnois.
